The USTSA Pro Foos Tour Kicks Into High Gear

The Hall of Fame Classic kicked off the 2001 season with a bang and before you know it, twenty-three National Titles will be up for grabs in Atlanta, Georgia June 28 - July 2, 2001.

Tournament Officials are continuing their efforts to listen to the players and bring them a Pro Tour that is fun, competitive, fair and above all, player oriented.

All of the information you need to know about the upcoming Nationals is on the following pages including the extremely important, MUST READ, information below.

Thanks to all the players who recommended, assisted in, and are conforming to the following 2001 USTSA Pro Foos Tour specifications.

2001 USTSA PRO FOOS TOUR
• SPECIFICATIONS •

• Pre-registration Form... Please complete and return the pre-registration form as this is your only opportunity to purchase a package deal and to receive your VIFA member discount.  No package deals or discounts will be allowed at the Tournament site.

The following Dress Code will be strictly adhered to.
   NO EXCEPTIONS.

- Pro players are required to wear a shirt with a collar.   Pro players are encouraged (but not required) to have their name embroidered or printed above the right pocket.  Semi-Pro players should try to dress in a similar manner, but they may wear collarless shirts if they so desire.

- Dress jeans or slacks are required for all players.  Shorts are acceptable.

- Tasteless or profane clothing will not be allowed.

- Visors and baseball-style hats are allowed.

- Shoes are required for all players.

Failure to meet the Dress Code may result in forfeiture of a game or match.  Players in improper attire will not be allowed at the discretion of the Tournament Director.

  • Recall procedure will be strictly enforced.
  • All players participating in any tour event must be members and pay USTSA dues.
  • All non-rookie international tournament participants must pay entry fees.
  • If you participate in 3500 Ltd. Doubles or 35 & Over Dbles. you cannot currently be playing in any open events.
  • At least one rookie or semi-pro must be on a team to play in 35 & Over Doubles.
  • Goalie Wars, Forward Shoot-out, State DYP, VIFA DYP & 4 on 4 will be single elimination.
  • If you choose to play in 4 on 4, you cannot be currently playing in any other events.

• VIFA... The VIFA DYP, exclusively for VIFA league players, will take place at the Nationals.  This DYP will be handicapped under the "new" VIFA Tournament handicap system.  The format is 2/3, single elimination, all games to 7.  The prize fund will consist of 100% payback plus $500 added monies.   Be sure to have your VIFA sanction card when registering at the Tournament.

• Masters Singles... This extremely popular, hotly contested, coveted title competition will certainly be a featured event at the Nationals.

1st Place - $300 & Airfare to 2001 Worlds, Masters Jacket, Masters Cup, #1 Seed in Singles for 2001 Worlds.

2nd Place - $150 & 1/2 Package Deal to 2001 Worlds

3/4th Place - 1/2 Package Deal for 2001 Worlds

Entire field will be seeded with last years Champion claiming the #1 seed.  3/5, Single Elimination.   Free entry for all Pro-Masters and Pros that played in Open Singles.
